For individual therapy, a superbill can be provided upon request. A superbill is an itemized receipt your insurance provider may use to process an out-of-network reimbursement claim. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by plan — contact your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
For couples therapy, a superbill may be available in cases where one partner has an individual diagnosis being addressed as part of the couples work. Please ask during your consultation if this applies to your situation.

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations within 24 hours are charged a $75 fee. No-shows are charged the full session fee. Cancellation fees are not billable to insurance.

If your relationship is causing you pain, stress, or a sense of disconnection — couples counseling is worth considering. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit. Many couples come to therapy to strengthen a relationship that's good but could be better. Others come in the middle of a significant struggle. Both are welcome here.

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, your relationship history, and what you're hoping to achieve. I'll ask questions, you'll ask questions, and together we'll begin building a picture of where you are and where you want to go. Most couples leave the first session feeling relieved that they came.

The Gottman Relationship Checkup is a comprehensive, research-based assessment completed online by both partners individually. It measures key areas of your relationship — including friendship, conflict, trust, and shared meaning — and gives us a detailed, personalized picture of your relationship's strengths and growth areas. Rather than guessing where to focus, we start with real data about your specific relationship and build our work from there.
-
Prepare/Enrich is one of the most widely used and research-validated premarital assessments available, used by more than 4 million couples worldwide. Completed online by both partners individually, it identifies your strengths as a couple, areas that may benefit from attention, and important topics to explore before marriage. It's one of the most valuable tools available for couples preparing for a life together.
-
A Couples Intensive is an extended therapy experience — either 3 or 6 hours — that allows couples to go deeper than a standard weekly session permits. Rather than spending 50 minutes once a week slowly working through issues, an intensive gives us concentrated time to stay with the hard conversations long enough to actually move through them. Intensives are particularly helpful for couples in acute crisis, recovering from betrayal, or feeling stuck in traditional weekly therapy.
-
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. What you share in sessions is private and protected by law. There are a small number of legal exceptions — such as imminent safety concerns — which I'll explain fully during our first session. For private-pay clients, your sessions are also not reported to insurance companies, which provides an additional layer of privacy.
-
Absolutely. Individual therapy can be a powerful space for someone navigating relationship challenges on their own — whether your partner isn't ready, isn't willing, or you're processing something independently. You don't need your partner's participation to begin meaningful work.
-
Yes. Not all couples who come to therapy are trying to save their relationship — and that's okay. Some couples use therapy to navigate a separation or divorce with greater clarity, communication, and care for one another and their family. Whatever your goal, therapy can provide support for the path forward.
